Ian Fergusson

BBC Weatherman

BBC weatherman Ian Fergusson offered to become our third patron in 2009 after listening to Radio Bristol’s Breakfast Show. Ian says “I was struck by a news item we were reporting about The Moggery finding it difficult to re-home black and white cats. I was very saddened by this and immediately decided to help the charity”. Ian Promptly adopted a young black cat who now rejoices in the name Phoebe. Ian, who is a chartered biologist, is also a noted shark expert.

Piers Morgan

Television Personality

Piers Morgan, best known in the UK as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, became our second patron in 2008. After donating a book for an auction he was approached to be a patron and he declared he was “thrilled to be asked”. Although unable to have a cat himself as he travels so much, he takes a keen interest in our work and follows our activities through our newsletter and website.
